Women-led Transformation of Urban Slums in Bangladesh: Model for the World

With a team of senior officials from the Philippines Government and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Philippines, Titon Mitra, Resident Representative of UNDP Philippines, recently visited a slum at Narayanganj City Corporation to learn Bangladesh’s experience in reducing urban poverty through digital platforms. He shared his country’s experience of using digital tools to address urban poverty and said he was impressed by the courage, dedication and sincerity of women living in the slums as they continued to change their situation with whatever support they have received.
