LIUPCP creating thousands of women entrepreneurs: Cox’s Bazar Mayor

For women entrepreneurs, gaining access to finance is the biggest challenge. One of the features of the Livelihoods Improvement of Urban Poor Communities Project is to train young women in business skills and inject capital into their businesses, whilst a matched mentor advises them on a day to day decisions and long-term sustainability. Mujibur Rahman, Mayor, Cox’s Bazar Paurashava, explains how Livelihoods Improvement of Urban Poor Communities Project has changed thousands of women’s lives.
