Comprehensive safety net programme for the urban poor

The Government of Bangladesh has been implementing a wide range of safety net programmes in Bangladesh. However, growing urbanisation and the alarming increase in the number of slum dwellers pose new challenges for designing safety net programmes for the poor of an entirely new type.
