LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND-Story of Sohana Begum
At a young age, Sohana Begum from Sylhet, was forcefully married off as the second wife of an elderly day labourer. For years she struggled to provide the necessary nutrition for herself and her children. Stuck in an abusive household, Sohana was looking for ways to better her family’s life. That is when she received a business grant from our Livelihoods Improvement of Urban Poor Communities Project and used that money to set up a small business selling betel nuts.
