    OBITUARY: SAD DEMISE OF HUMAIRA MAHMUDA TUMPA





    Humaira Mahmuda Tumpa, a Socio Economic and Nutrition Facilitator (SENF) of Livelihoods Improvement of Urban Poor Communities Project (LIUPCP) under Chattogram City Corporation has died in a tragic road accident on Sunday. She was 34.

    The accident took place at College Bazar area under Karnafuli upazila as Tumpa was travelling by a bus on her way for official works, police said.

    She left behind her husband and two daughters apart from hundreds of poor community members to mourn at her sad demise.

    Md Abdul Mannan, National project Director of LIUPCP in a message of condolence expressed deep shock at the death of Humaira Mahmuda Tumpa. He prayed for the salvation of her departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

    Md. Sarower Hossain Khan, LIUPCP Town Manager at Chattogram City Corporation said, Humaira Tumpa was one of the most proactive and energetic SENF who died while working for the project. She was a dedicated and compassionate person who always tried to do something for the community people from her own little salary.

    “She worked her last moment of life for our project. The accident took place as she was on her way for cash transfer verification. Chattogram team of LIUPCP is really proud for her dedication and contribution,” Sarower said.

    Apart from her work she was also involved with other social development activities.
